How to Love Yourself on Valentine’s Day
Got the Valentine’s Day blues? If you’re missing a bit of love in your life, then not to worry. Haven’t you heard? Self-love is the new black! This year, why don’t you spoil yourself for a change? We’ve got everything covered for you to have the best Valentine’s Day ever, no partner required!
1. Pamper Yourself
Feel good with a good old fashioned stay at home day spa! Prepare to really love yourself after a pampering that will make you feel amazing. Set the mood and play a playlist dedicated to feeling like a goddess. Use one of our body scrubs and give yourself a good buffing that will exfoliate your skin and get rid of any dead skin cells and impurities such as acne, eczema, cellulite and stretch marks. After you wash it off and lather yourself down with a touch of Oily Love, you’ll feel and smell like heaven! Or you can lie back and relax in a nice, soothing, bubbly bath and escape from all your troubles. Don’t forget to have some chocolates on the side to treat yourself with!
2. Get Active
Before you groan and roll your eyes, hear us out. Exercise is super good for you, which is common knowledge. It’s super important to take care of yourself so that you’re fit and healthy. However, exercise has more benefits than you think. It’s the most natural way to relieve stress and release endorphins, which make us feel really good. That’s why you feel like such a badass after a hard workout. Exercising is also a great way for socialising. Go on a jog or take a yoga class with your friends. Friends who work out together stay together! Exercising can also be so much fun. Dance like no one’s watching in a Zumba class or take the dog for a walk and have a chase in the playground. Get in that Vitamin D!
3. Go Out With Your Friends
There is no love greater than friendship! Get together with your BFFs and spend the day on a friend date. You can sit outdoors and bask in the sunshine at a café while sipping a coffee. Go out for a walk in the park catching up on each other’s lives and gossip. Head to a workout sesh and struggle together. Spend all your savings and go on a shopping spree, maybe even get coordinating outfits. Head to a fancy restaurant that you can’t afford and dine in each other’s company while drinking wine and filling your belly with a delicious meal. Or you can even spend the day at home having a feel-good movie marathon. Whatever you all enjoy, feel the love you all bring to each other and make this day one to remember!
4. Get To Know Yourself
Who says you need company to enjoy Valentine’s Day? There’s really nothing better than spoiling the one person you love more than anyone else: yourself! Taking time out to have a day by yourself isn’t as lonely as you may think. It can help you relieve stress and let your mind slow down without the worry of pleasing somebody else. Spend the day doing the things that make you feel happy inside. Go to the movies and watch that flick you’ve been dying to see. Head to the shops and buy those pair of shoes you’ve had your eye on for ages. Take a nice long walk on the beach and get those sunset snaps to post on Instagram. Or if you prefer, get some takeout, cuddle up on the couch and spend a nice relaxing night at home binging on that TV show you’re behind on.
Remember: There is nothing wrong with a little self-care. You deserve to feel happy and amazing!
